An airbone lecture

Artistic creation at Vergèze 2017

Solo // Duration: 35 min

Available for theatres, outdoor settings, classrooms, lecture halls…

‘To become light or stay weighted down? Within this dilemma, some minds may sum up all the dramas of human destiny.’

Gaston Bachelard

Mélissa Von Vépy gives an (airborne) lecture on humanity and flight.

The history and mythology of flight, the concepts of gravity, weightlessness, lightness – at first, everything is approached from poetic, scientific and philosophical perspectives. But as the winds start to rise, the intellectual and literary give way to the body and its sensations, and our lecturer, quite literally carried away, begins to take off…

Danser, Sophie Lesort

‘ …Magnificent acrobat but also dancer, Mélissa Von Vépy who received the “Art du cirque” award from the SACD offers a very beautiful, intelligent and original visual performance on the inaccessible dream…’

La Grande Parade, Julie Cadhilac

12 october 2017

‘ …The comedian is there (the children laugh in connivance from the beginning), poetry settles in with as much delicacy as strength… and you end up thinking you really thought you saw Super Woman flying over our heads, her shadow surprisingly split on each side of her! 35 sparkling and intelligent minutes?… it can’t be refused! ‘
